Simo Tukiainen's Website
Not much to see here just now!
You can email me by sending message to user 'simo' at domain duskwave.com, but if you wanted to, you probably knew that already.
More content about myself and my interests might appear sometime. Then again, getting this paragraph worth of text here (apart from few specific subsites) took me 5 years so don't hold your breath.
Pages are English-only because I'm so lazy about it.
Things here
- Duskwave.com DAoC used to be hosted here, but is now discontinued. Check the link for announcement. You can also download it's complete source code there. If you don't know what Duskwave.com DAoC is, the changes are that you don't care even if you did.
- Simple utility to search for Japanese example sentences by sets of kanji characters (actually, this turned out to be pretty useless).
Links to other sites I find useful
- Kanjikaveri.net is site in Finnish for studying Japanese (mainly kanji characters). It also features the only decent freely available Japanese-Finnish dictionary on the internet (to my best knowledge, anyway). I designed and wrote the implementation for dictionary (I haven't contributed to the content, mind you).
- Kanjikaveri.net forum deserves a mention on it's own. Great place to discuss Japanese language (in Finnish and Japanese, but the forum's language is Finnish).
- Tae Kim's Japanese guide to Japanese grammar is easily the best online grammar guide available. Also, it's unusual, non-English centered approach is interesting and easily bests many books on the subject. Partial translations of the guide to different languages than English exist (including Finnish).
